Listen to Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band on iHeartRadio

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band's new album, High Hopes, arrives in stores Tuesday.

The disc features a mix of cover songs, outtakes, and remakes of some of the group's material.  The title track is a new version of a cover song Bruce originally recorded in the 1990s.  But Springsteen says it's a song he really likes.  He tells "High Hopes" has "a really good lyric about struggling" without being "too direct," along with "a fantastic chorus."

And hot on the heels of the album's release, Springsteen and the E Street Band are returning to the road.  They have shows scheduled through early March, with dates in South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand.  But The Boss says some U.S. concerts could be on the horizon.

The rocker explains that he won't say anything for certain because he doesn't want "to disappoint."  But he says they're "looking at" playing some shows in the U.S. this year, and adds that it's something he'd like to do.
