Bruce Dickinson's Estranged Wife Paddy Bowden Dies In 'Tragic Accident'

Paddy Bowden, the estranged wife of Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson, has died in what her family has called a "tragic" accident.

Bowden, 58, was found at home in Chiswick, West London. Ambulances responded to the home Monday morning within minutes of an emergency call and pronounced her dead at the scene.

"This is a terrible tragedy which appears to be a tragic accident," Dickinson said in a statement. "Our children Austin, Griffin and Kia and I are devastated. Out of respect for Paddy we won't be making any further comment at this hugely difficult and painful time for our family."

Austin confirmed his mother's death via Instagram: "My mum has tragically passed away, I haven't even got the words to say right now and I ask for privacy and respect for myself and our family."

Bruce and Paddy married in 1990. But last November, it was reported that Bruce had moved to Paris to live with his new girlfriend, Leana Dolci.
