GENE SIMMONS: He Was Hotter Than Hell

Gene Simmons had to perform part of the KISS show Wednesday in Brazil while seated.

Thanking fans for their well wishes, he says, "Humidity and temperature were sky high. I was dehydrated and was forced to sit for a song. We got back on stage in five minutes and finished the show."

Simmons asked his crew to bring out a chair while Paul Stanley told the audience that they need to "stop to take care of him, 'cause we love him, right?..." The show in Manaus, Brazil was the start of their 2023 leg of their End of the Road tour. Next up is the Monsters of Rock festival in Bogota, Colombia on Saturday.

In The Midst of Mick Mars Legal Drama, Motley Crue Making New Music

Mötley Crüe guitarist Mick Mars is suing his band for allegedly conspiring to force him out after he retired from touring. Mars, who announced his retirement from the road, due to declining health stated he fully intended on continuing to record with the Crüe.

But Mars accused the band instead of trying to force Mars out, and recent actions taken seem to confirm that may be true. Nikki Six has now confirmed via Twitter that guitarist John 5 is writing new music with the group. “Another killer songwriting day with Tommy Lee and John 5,” wrote Six in a tweet that included an image of the threesome jamming in a studio.

And while Mötley Crüe has never responded to Mars’ claims, John 5’s presence has begun the rumor that the band has indeed squeezed Mars out. Sixx even admitted “We are writing. We’re gonna go in the big studio next week and record a few off the floor and see where it goes.”
