Former President Donald Trump claimed that a victory for Vice President Kamala Harris would put the United States of America "three days away from the start of" an "economic depression," while comparing President Joe Biden to late former Republican President Herbert Hoover.

“Joe Biden is Herbert Hoover,” Trump said during a campaign rally in Gastonia, North Carolina, on Saturday (November 2) via the New York Post. “If Kamala wins, you are three days away from the start of a 1929 style economic depression. I believe that.”

“If I win, you are three days away from the best jobs, the biggest paychecks, the brightest economic future that the world has ever seen,” he added.

Trump also referred to Harris as a "weak and foolish woman" while addressing her decision to pass on an interview with podcaster Joe Rogan days after Trump's own appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience.

“If Kamala can’t handle an interview with Joe Rogan, then she can’t handle the presidency, and she certainly can’t handle [Vladimir] Putin or President Xi of China,” Trump said. “She will get overwhelmed, meltdown, and millions of people will die, perhaps. This is not a charity event. This is an election for the biggest and toughest job anywhere in the world.”

Rogan claimed he shot down several demands made by Harris' campaign, but insisted that he "has not passed on doing the podcast" with the Democratic presidential nominee. Trump recently appeared on several podcasts and livestreams targeting young males including the Nelk Boys podcast, Logan Paul's IMPAULSIVE, Adin Ross' 90-minute livestream and an episode of Barstool Sports' Bussin' with the Boys podcast, prior to his Joe Rogan Experience appearance.
