Vice President Kamala Harris made a surprise appearance during the cold opening of Saturday Night Live on Saturday (November 3) night.
Harris appeared opposite veteran former cast member Maya Rudolph, who returned to the show to play the Democratic presidential candidate through the election cycle, as she looked through a mirror while preparing for a final rally in Pennsylvania.
“Take my palm-ala,” Rudolph said as she grabbed Harris’ hand through the open mirror. “The American people want to stop the chaos and end the dram-ala with a cool new step-mamala. Kick back in our pajam-alas and watch a rom-com-ala.”
"Like Legally Blonde-ala," Harris responded.
"And start decorating for Christmas, fa-la-la-la-la. Because what do we always say?" Rudolph added.
“Keep Calm-ala and Carry On-ala,” they said together.
Rudolph then walked Harris over to the center stage at which point she told her, "I'm gonna vote for us."
“Great, any chance that you’re registered in Pennsylvania?” Harris joked, acknowledging the projected tight race between herself and former President Donald Trump in the battleground state, which has 19 electoral votes.
"No, I am not," Rudolph responded.
"Well, it was worth a shot," Harris said before the two delivered the signature intro live "Live from New York it's Saturday Night."
The appearance came three days before Election Day on November 5 with Harris and Trump reported to be in a tight race in various polls.
