Upturn In COVID-19 Cases In Arkansas Amid Ligher Restrictions

During today's press conference with Governor Hutchinson, he revealed that the plan to process over 60,000 tests in May is off to a good start with over 2,174 tests processed yesterday. With that, 97 positive cases were reported. While that is a lot of new cases, the Governor says that is a very small percentage when compared to the larger number of tests being completed. Another statistic he shared is the number of hospitalizations, which have been steadily declining for the last few days.

Also during the press conference today, Governor Hutchinson announced today that we are currently working toward Phase 2 of reopening Arkansas businesses and that on May 18th they plan to allow Arkansas casinos to reopen with very strict social distancing guidelines and sterilization procedures.
