Stevie Nicks is praising Linda Ronstadt as an inspiration.
During a tribute to Ronstadt in honor of her Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction, Stevie said Linda's first hit, "Different Drum," is the reason she's a singer.
Ronstadt, who's battling Parkinson's disease, didn't attend the ceremony. But a former member of her backing band -- the Eagles' Glenn Frey -- handled her induction.
Bonnie Raitt, Sheryl Crow, Emmylou Harris, and Carrie Underwood were featured along with Nicks in Ronstadt's musical salute Thursday night at the Rock Hall's 29th annual Induction Ceremony at Brooklyn's Barclays Center.
